2007 Inaugural LaGrange Sanctioned Invitational Finger Jousting Tournament

Well, ladies and gentlemen, the day is upon us. If you live around Federation headquarters, I am sure that you have heard the news. Well, here is the first official confirmation of the event, and it is on the website now as well. We, the World Finger Jousting Federation, will be sanctioning the first official tournament for the sport ever on the upcoming May 18th at the Troup County Parks and Recreation Center starting at 6:00 in their hockey rink. This is to be a massive event. We have eight competitors from around the state vying for the title, a spectator mini-tournament, door prizes, a musical guest, semi-celebrities, referees, announcers, two arenas, fancy effects, sponsors, and the whole nine yards.

Julian, I got bad news. 

  I can't do any physical activities for 2-3 weeks, if not more. My blood pressure seems to be a bit high (actually quite high) and i'm having all kinds of chest X-rays in the next week or two becuase of it (failed my physical three times becuase of it now). Anyways, I can't practice  football this spring, lift weights, or even run intill further notice. I have a check up on the 18th, but even then if everything turns out ok I might have to go on medication or either try and lower my blood pressure by some other fashion before I will be premitted by my doctor to do any physical activity, so its looking like a 100% chance that I will not be able to "joust" in this event.
 
 Sorry, I know you are probably really frustrated now, and I know you have a lot on your hands already, But there is really nothing I can do about it, it is really out of my hands at the moment.I just Hope I have told you in time for you to find a replacement for me.  If you wanna talk about my condition or the event in further detail message me or reply to my message on myspace.

 Anyways, good luck with the event, and again, sorry I will not be able to attend. Hopefullly I will be much healthier in time for the next "jousting" tournament.

Ladies, gentleman, and fellow jousters. As you all may have read in the competitor's section of the tournament, I, K Money, will be making my esteemed return to the sport, which I was around during it's meager beginnings. The World Finger Jousting Federation has since taken this great sport to new heights. Tomorrow marks a great day in the history of the WFJF, the first tournament will be held and I am proud to say that I will be competing with some of the greats. I have looked forward in anticipation to this event for some time now, and already as if it had only been a couple of days the event is at hand.

Needless to say, I am very intrigued to see all of the competitors and their own unique jousting style first hand. I can read descriptions and watch video footage, but I never really know how a move is executed until I am in a match with someone who uses it. In my last previous matches of finger jousting, which was regrettably almost if not more than a year ago,  skills and competitiveness came rushing back to me and I developed some of my own technique and moves. I hope it bodes well for me tomorrow against you all, I know I will need it with the fiercest of competitors showing up tomorrow in LaGrange.

Again, I am very excited for this event, and I will see you all tomorrow!
